Tulipa Třebešín – Zvěřinova Street
23rd January 2017 - The Municipality of Prague 3 drew up a list of names for new streets and squares around the Nákladové nádraží (Freight Railway Station) development locality. The names of the new streets are based on recent events in our history and relate to personalities connected with November 17, 1989.
In December 2016 the Prague City Council approved the developer-chosen street name “Zvěřinova”, currently constructed under the Tulipa Třebešín Project. The street was named after Prof. ThDr. Josef Zvěřina (1913-1990) - Roman Catholic priest, art historian and philosopher, Charter 77 signatory and collaborator of Cardinal Tomášek. In November 1989, he used to visit striking students and would often speak at public rallies. He was the founder and first president of the Czech Christian Academy.
